Travel: Los Costaleros de Semana Santa. The Porters of Holy Week. Badajoz, 2022

(ESP) El 15-04-2022 me fui a Badajoz a ver los pasos de la Semana Santa. Me situé en la Plaza España para poder fotografiar bien a todo lo relacionado con este evento. Aparte de los nazarenos y los pasos me interesé por los costaleros y los músico. Aquí están las fotos de los costaleros, esas personas que soportan 30, 40, 50kg o más en la parte costal de la espalda.

(ENG) On April 4th, 2022 I went to Badajoz, Spain to photograph the Holy Week processions. Like all processions there are members with different responsibilities but all of them belong to a particular brotherhood. The Nazarenes are the ones who wear the robes and walk in front of the float (Photos of them in a few days). The musicians who generally bring up the rear of the float (Photos of them in a few days). Then there are the "costaleros" or porters who are almost always out of sight because they are under the float, carrying it on their backs. These photos show some costaleros who have rotated out from under the float for a break or are getting ready to go back under.
